The mystery tawny port of the Hunter Valley

I was told this story while at Bimbadgen a few months back, I found it such an interesting story that I went back and had them tell it to me again so I could post it here.

If you have a great winery story of your own, please get in touch with us.

Your support would be awesome

Wine is more than just a bottle on the shelf.

There are many wonderful stories from the wineries and cellar doors around the country and we’re out to surface those stories.

And yes, you are correct, this is a not so gracious attempt to get some support to try and make this little project happen.

Please visit our Patreon page if you think you can support us in any way. patreon.com/winetrip.

Additionally, we’re also keen to start compiling a list of stories to tackle next, so if you’re a winery who has a cool story to tell, please get in touch with us.

Thanks,
Vern and Chris

Henschke Cellars – Barossa Valley

The first winery we visited on our Barrosa Valley visit was Henscke who has an extremely rich history in the South Australian wine region and from the stories we heard, feels like just the tip of the surface of this family winery.

Barossa Valley

We’ve recently returned from a quick weekender to Barossa Valley and we’re busy editing some content to upload soon.

In the meantime, we’d love to know where we should go next?
